The Essential Travel Bag

My first review in my new blog is about travel bags, specifically cosmetic cases. It only makes sense that I have the proper bag to store all of my pretty compacts, jars and tubes of cosmetics. I researched online and came across Henri Bendel. The discovery came from watching Gossip Girl and watching the characters from the upper east side of NYC being obsessed with top designers so I had to check out this original New Yorker and his legendary brown and white-stripped bags. The Centennial Stripe Large Hanging Weekender Bag is cotton twill under durable printed vinyl. The bag has 2 main compartments with ample room and a clear view of what is inside each compartment. Both have signature metal Henri Bendel logo charm zippers. It also has one concealed zipper pocket to place something small so it doesn’t get lost amongst the other products. I put my earrings and a small compact mirror. My favorite part of the bag is that it can hang from a towel bar and not take up bathroom space in a hotel room. When closed the dimensions are 7.5”H x 11”W x 4”D and has two carrying handles and dual zippers. I travel quite a bit and this bag is durable and small enough to put inside my carry on tote bag. It’s my travel essential and comes in handy if I should have flight delays or if an airline loses my bag. I have everything I need in this great cosmetic bag. What is your favorite travel bag?

What’s your morning routine?

Every morning when I wake up, I turn the electric kettle on and wait for the water to boil for my Nescafe instant coffee. I love the smell as it reminds me of sneaking little sips of my mothers coffee when I was a young girl. Now as a “grown up” I enjoy putting on makeup while I drink my cup of joe to get my day started. There is something to be said with cosmetics and the pretty bottles, compacts, cases and tubes. They are shiny, sparkly and full of vibrant colors … a girl can’t possibly avoid. Makeup and coffee is my morning routine.

As this is my first post, I have now added blogging to my morning routine. I created this blog to share my thoughts, opinions, reviews or feedback and ideas that I often have running through my head as I am putting makeup and drinking my coffee. So therefore, My Second Cup is born and I have entered the blogging world.
